Canadian Business College Healthcare Services
division, is now offering a number of health care
related programs including this Personal Support
Worker Diploma.
You like helping others, and you want a career where
your service-orientation can be recognized. The
Personal Support Worker role in today's health care
may be the answer to your career search.
The Personal Support Work field will continue to
grow as Canada's population ages. It is well-known
that the longer a person can be allowed to remain at
home, the lower their health care costs will be. As
a result there will be an ever increasing demand for
the personal support workers who will provide care
to people at home.
As well, Canadian Business College's (Health Care
Division) program provides training for
opportunities for PSW staff in nursing homes and
other institutions in Ontario.
Opportunities being created within familiar fields,
new professions and skilled trades are emerging as
our understanding of healthcare increases and as
curing and healing techniques become more complex.
There is now a lengthy list of health-related
professions and trades that do not require
university training.
Personal Support Worker
The program enables the graduates to work in
hospitals, nursing homes, other long term care and
community-based facilities, and private homes.
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) has a combination
of community work and related caregiver skills
incorporated in the program. This course is
